We are revolutionizing the way the world moves for future generations, and we want someone who is ready to move with us. **Method Engineer - Electrical** **Mission:** To propose, define and implement manufacturing processes for the selected products with minimum costs, within a minimum timeframe and with a guaranteed quality **Responsibilities:** + Development and creation of new assembly stations / lines + Transformation of manual assembly process into semi-automatic stations / lines + Industrialisation of new engineering projects within area of responsibility + Optimization of existing production processes, in particular: mechanical processing and/or assembly works Kaizen optimization and Lean activities + Participation in the implementation of new technologies and products into production + Active contribution as Method Team Member to the Transfer of Technology Projects + He/she has direct responsibility for the planning and execution of all the tasks requested during the development of the manufacturing process (Process Flow Diagrams, Cycle time / Capacity optimization, Line balancing, Working Instructions, PFMEA, Control Plan, Start-of-production check list) + Validation of manufacturing tools including, where needed, execution of + Process Capability activities and assessment of ergonomic requirements + Preparation of manufacturing documentation and training of operators + Organization of First Article Inspection (FAI) and related activities till the qualification of the manufacturing process + Analyzing basic production indicators, i.e. efficiency, quality and cost, and reporting to the Method Engineering Manager **Qualifications:** + Higher technical education with electrical engineering faculty + Practical knowledge of electrical drawings/electrical schematics/wiring diagrams + Knowledge of special processes e.g. crimping, soldering, stripping + Good knowledge of quality tools and problem-solving methodologies + Ability to define, develop and create new assembly stations / lines for multi-complicated products in low series production + Ability to transform manual assembly process into semi-automatic stations / lines + Ability to read technical drawings in English, German will be an advantage + Knowledge of English at the good communicative level, German will be an advantage + High level of autonomy + Ability to work in a team in transformation conditions + Willingness to improve Knowledge of production management tools will be an additional advantage + Knowledge of project management will be an advantage + Available to geographic mobility / travels **We offer:** + Employment based on an employment contract signed with the production plant + Cash bonuses for vacations + Additional medical care + Transportation allowance + Pre-paid card + Opportunity to improve professional qualifications + Experience and development in an international environment + Being a part of great team spirit + Playing a significant role in projects **Who are we?** Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for freight and transit rail as well as the mining, marine, and industrial markets.
