Method Engineering Technologist

Job Description

Our client located in Ajax, Ontario is seeking a Method Engineering Technologist, will report to the Team Leader, Repair and Overhaul. The successful individual will be responsible for creation of work instructions as well as all aspects of work order and router maintenance. This will include coordinating with the supplier, the customer/operator and all internal departments and systems directly related to this process. Emphasis on attention to detail and coordination is crucial.

 

CGD certificate required

This will be a day shift position (100% onsite)

Pay rate will be $35/hr. (37 hours per week)

Starting from October 14, 2024 (24 months contract)

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Creating and maintaining Technical Process Instructions. (Repair Layouts)
• Providing Technical coordination in support of detailed Repair Process Layouts.
• Tracking status of repair units in conjunction with repair layouts.
• Reviewing Concessions, Non-Conforming Report (NCR's), Deficiency Report and Engineering Disposition (DRED's), Repair Engineering Order (REO's) and Deviation Reports prior to creating Repair Process Layouts.
• Support in design of tooling and test equipment for the MRO
• Support 3D printing related projects.
• Liaise with Support Engineering, Sub-Contractors, etc. on all technical issues and update Concession Database Log.
• Preparation of cost estimates in conjunction with repairs
• Update SAP business system, Work in Progress (WIP) Reports as necessary
• Use of SAP to develop new and revise Traveler’s.

RequirementsUniversity degree or College diploma in an Engineering or related discipline. Minimum of 3 years of working experience in the manufacturing industry. Able to read and interpret Manufacturing Drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances, Boeing, Military, industry specifications, and Component Maintenance Manuals. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access and SAP. CATIA and 3D printing experience would be an asset. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Previous experience in a Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO) environment would be a desired asset.
