Job Description: Methods Engineer

Overview: Our client in the aerospace industry is expanding its fleet program and is setting up a second shift due to an abundance of increased workload. We are seeking experienced individuals in structures, assembly, and machined parts to join our team. Ideal candidates will have Knowledge in aerospace structure design, particularly with sheet metal, and experience in final assembly before the plane takes flight.

Key Responsibilities:

Work on building, functional testing, jig/fixture support, final assembly, and system assembly/installation instructions.Support aero structures, with preference for candidates from Airbus, Bombardier, Triumph, or Spirit Aero systems.Troubleshoot and solve problems related to manufacturing processes.Utilize CAD software (Catia, Solid works, ProE) for aero structures and systems.Support configuration and create packages for aerospace structures using Infor Visual (Manufacturing).

Must-Have Qualifications:

4+ years of final assembly experience (prior to the plane flying).5+ years of methods experience for parts and structures.5+ years of experience in aerospace.Knowledge of fabrication and assembly of aircraft parts (sheet metal and machined parts).5+ years of experience in a manufacturing planning and support role.3+ years of CAD experience (Creo, Catia, Solidworks).Combination of education and experience in aerospace and/or manufacturing.Degree or diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Aircraft Maintenance Engineer).Knowledge of aerospace engineering and manufacturing principles and techniques.Ability to apply sound engineering principles to operational and process design issues.Ability to read and interpret aircraft engineering drawings.Previous ERP/MRP experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a machine shop or working with CNC machines in parts manufacturing.AME experience (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $75.00/hr.
