This position will work under the direct supervision of the Head Start Transportation Manager and the general supervision of the Executive Director. ***Extensive Background Checks and random drug tests are performed on applicants for this position with MAC. Typical Duties + Drive for the Metropolitan Action Commission's Head Start program + Perform basic maintenance on vehicles as needed + Deliver meals to assigned centers + Act as a bus monitor when needed + Transport children, parents, staff and equipment in a safe and efficient manner + Provide a daily checklist (pre & post inspection) and observe all cleaning schedules + Observe loading and unloading bus procedures + Submit a legible Inspection sheet, weekly + Attend meetings and completes required training + Demonstrate work habits that comply with agency personnel policy and procedures + Complete special assignments in a timely manner + Ensure that children are never left without an adult present + Assist with other job related duties as requested by your supervisor Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent.
