Testing Required:
On-Site Role: Must be available to work on-site at this assigned work location.
Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE’s emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.
Job Summary Responsible for repairing and calibrating measuring and test equipment and standards. Maintains accurate records of instrument calibration and work performed. Key Accountabilities Maintains and implements the measuring and test equipment program Implements and provides feedback to ensure the metrology program is effective, efficient, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. Develop and implement troubleshooting plans to improve upon the metrology program. Strictly follows procedures, is alert to safety and attends selected metrology training. Complies with ALARA principles and radiation protection policies and principles. Minimum Education & Experience Requirements Associate's degree in the physical sciences/metrology or PMEL Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory school and five years experience in measurement and calibration work. Other Qualifications Must work shifts as assigned. Computer Skills: Spreadsheets, word processing and data base managers. Must be proficient in various specific testing methodologies and techniques. Knowledge of basic electronic and mechanical theory. Knowledge in Fluke METCAL software. Knowledge of the industry standard publication IEEE498, ANSIN45.2, and 10CFR50 Appendix Must be able to lift and carry precision tools and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
