Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CMM/Metrology Engineering Technician to ensure that the goods produced meet specific quality standards. This role involves working on semiconductor tools, such as ALD, CVD, PECVD, Epi, and Etch, and utilizing a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) to measure an object's geometry with high accuracy. This position starts with a 2nd shift training schedule from Monday to Friday for 8 hours, and transitions to the night shift once certified, which is Monday to Thursday from 3:00pm to 1:30am.
ResponsibilitiesInterpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics to create jigs and fixtures for semiconductor restoration.Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to view parts.Apply knowledge of materials, machining processes, and manufacturing methods to optimize refabrication of semiconductor parts.Perform inspections of semiconductor parts to ensure they meet the necessary quality standards.Collaborate with quality control personnel to address and resolve any issues or discrepancies.Maintain records and documentation.Operate and program metrology equipment, including CMMs.Follow work instructions or schematics for mechanical fabrication.Perform chemical cleaning within the wet bench lab.Assist in maintaining processing equipment in good working condition.Essential SkillsExperience with CMM operation (minimum 2 years).Strong knowledge of GD&T.Experience with inspection gages (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gages, air gages, bore gages).Mechanical aptitude with 2+ years of experience working on cars, computers, or machinery.Ability to read and follow complex work instructions.1+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry or cleanroom environment.Proficiency in technical documentation.Mechanical and metrology experience.Proficient in using measurement tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsAttention to detail.High level of communication skills.Experience in cleanroom, chemistry, semiconductor, inspection, CMM programming, CMM inspection, and CMM operation.Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).Work Environment
