Impact: Saint-Gobain is seeking a skilled team player to join our dynamic Maintenance group. The Instrumentation & Controls Technician is primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of the production equipment to ensure minimal production down-time and a safe work environment. Production equipment includes; material handling, bulk chemical systems, batch mixing, web coaters, extruding, converting, and packaging equipment.
The Instrumentation & Controls Technician is also responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of the facilities equipment such as: HVAC, boilers, chillers, compressors, pumps, motors, pollution control equipment, life safety, electrical power distribution, network, hoists, docks and automated doors.
3rd Shift: 10:30pm - 7am, Sunday - Thursday
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00/hr plus $1.00 shift premium
Essential Duties:
Candidate should be able to install, setup and troubleshoot temperature, speed, weight, pressure, flow and thickness sensing instrumentation. Able to monitor and troubleshoot controls using programmable logic controllers. Set up and tune loop controllers and PID loops. Maintenance and repair of electrical industrial control systems. The position requires scheduled shift work, weekend work, and emergency call-ins during off shifts to support production. The Technician will report into the Maintenance Supervisor. Performs electrical and instrumentation & controls preventative maintenance, calibrations, and inspections to reduce equipment downtime.
