Overall Job Summary
The Manager of Direct Sales Training holds responsibility for the development and execution of training programs for our Direct Sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for equipping our sales professionals with the skills, knowledge, and tools they need to excel in their roles, drive sales, customer conversion, and overall initiative performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) Design, develop, and implement Direct Sales new hire orientation training programs, professional and leadership development training programs, and on-going refresher training programs for all levels of the Direct Sales Field Team. Consult with the Direct Sales Field Leadership Team as well as the Direct Sales SSC Team to assess needs, design and develop solutions, implement the solution, and evaluate the solution. Design, develop, and host on-site training sessions for the Direct Sales Field Team both at the SSC and on-site in the field. Execute processes for measuring the results and impact of training development activities. Design, develop, and implement seasonally relevant training programs for the Direct Sales Field Team. Conduct ongoing gap analysis; recommend and develop solutions based on analysis. Evaluate and implement strategies to improve training methods, curriculum design, delivery processes, and training quality. Utilize the company-wide learning management system (Success Factors) to support the execution of all training, developmental and talent management activities including learning program delivery options, evaluation, and reporting methods. Manage relevant vendors, internal and external teams, and consultant relationships, including contracting. Create, implement, and monitor Direct Sales Field Team training compliance reporting. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in sales training, integrating innovative approaches into the training programs
Required Qualifications
Experience: 7+ years of experience in sales training or sales management, preferably in a retail environment
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities Knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design, and organizational development. Ability to partner and consult with the business. Ability to develop and organize a wide range of training content based on business need. Problem-solving and project management skills. Ability to coordinate multiple activities in an organized manner. Ability to pull resources together to meet deadlines. Ability to facilitate live learning events in multiple settings (i.e. classroom, conference call, web conference, etc.). Strong communication skills, including the ability to speak effectively to large groups and present to key leadership teams. Program Management skills. Strong analytical skills to evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs. Ability to work as a business partner with all leadership levels within TSC.
