HybridCollins Aerospace has an immediate opening for a Labor Relations Manager, supporting the Advanced Structures Business Unit. You will serve as the business liaison to the local Union at our Riverside, CA facility. This position plays a key role in maintaining positive employee relations, resolving disputes, and ensuring compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The best labor relations professionals are courageous, creative problem-solvers with strong emotional intelligence. They’re comfortable operating in ambiguous situations and are known for their masterful collaboration skills.
What You Will Do:
Strategically manage and administer CBA’s in all aspects working with the team, including managing effective working relationship with Union leadership, supporting labor contract negotiations, and administering grievance procedures
Advise Leaders on positive employee relations strategies including performance and behavioral management processes
Train and equip Leaders with an understanding of their responsibilities under a CBA and advise them on business decisions
Build and maintain trusted relationships with business and union leadership
Conduct investigations and make disciplinary recommendations when needed
Interpret and advise leaders on business decisions as it relates to the CBA
Embody, influence and drive the Collins culture through positive employee relations strategies
Travel up to 5-10%
What You Will Learn:
You will learn how to successfully navigate a highly matrixed organization as you collaborate with multiple stakeholders including Business Leaders, HR Business Partners, and the Employee and Labor Relations COE
You will gain experience in a complex and dynamic labor environment, both at the strategic and tactical level
Labor is an ever growing and highly specialized field of practice, you will further develop your skills as a subject matter expert
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Experience working as a Labor Relations professional administering a CBA
Qualifications We Prefer:
This position is located in Riverside, CA; candidate must be local or willing to relocate
Experience working with data in Microsoft Excel to manipulate spreadsheets and reports
Experience investigating and resolving employee relations and ethics issues for non-bargaining unit employees
Experience developing and effectively leveraging relationships in a matrixed environment
Experience coaching, consulting, and influencing leaders
Experience with conflict resolution and mediating between parties
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
