The base pay for this position generally is between $98,900.00 and $175,300.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.

JOB SCOPE
Responsible for providing ongoing direction and sound leadership to systems and DevOps engineers responsible for the design, development, implementation, and operations of enterprise-wide customer premises equipment (CPE) platforms and their associated operating systems, databases, and dependencies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
Provide leadership and direction to engineers on technologies, best practices, and career developmentOversee all technical operations to maintain the integrity and stability of CPE ecosystemsGuide the ongoing implementation of operational analytics, monitoring, and reporting of CPE platformsProvide 'on-call' leadership support and response to CPE platform issues after normal business hoursCoordinate preparation of the capital and operating budget process and monitor activity throughout the year to ensure capital and operating expenses are controlled according to the budgeted plan to meet or exceed annual cash flow, including negotiating with contractors and vendors to achieve bids within budget.Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experienceMinimum six (6) years of Systems Engineering experienceREQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional mannerAbility to provide effective, results-oriented direction and make sound decisions while under pressureAbility to prioritize, organize, and simultaneously manage several projects and initiatives effectivelySkilled at providing coaching, guidance, mentoring, and motivation whenever necessaryAdvanced knowledge of troubleshooting tools (i.etcpdump, netstat, iostat, traceroute, snoop)Advanced ability to create detailed documentation to functionally understand new and existing applicationsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Working knowledge of Linux/Unix operating system and command line interfaceAdvanced knowledge of LAN/WAN topology, network protocols, switches and firewallsFundamental understanding of carrier-grade systems architecture, design, and securityWorking knowledge with System monitoring applications (Splunk, DataDog, OP5, CloudWatch, etc.) Advanced understanding of LAN/WAN topology, network protocols (TCP/IP, FTP, NFS), switches and firewallsWorking knowledge of the DHCP, DNS, SNMP, and TFTP protocolsAdvanced ability to conduct design sessions to specify solution designs for feasibility, cost, and functionalityAdvanced ability to follow and implement established change and control policies and proceduresWorking knowledge of development tools, application frameworks, and testing tools.Working knowledge of OSS applications and softwareIn-depth knowledge of choosing the appropriate lifecycle and the planning, monitoring and control of the systems engineering processStrong ability to transform an operational need into a description of system parameters and incorporate those parameters in the control of the total system development to achieve an optimum, cost-effective balance of all system elementsJob Code : ESY500
