Summary

****This is a Hybrid Role....

Position Highlights:

This position is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to staff within the corporate General Ledger Accounting Department.  This includes responsibility for the following functions related to all corporate entities (Hospital, Research, Parent, Foundation, MMG and MTC):

• General Accounting

• Monthly and annual analysis of financial results

• Management of departmental internal controls

• Coordination of internal/external Audit

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

-Experience with healthcare and non-profit accounting

-Proficiency with Lawson ERP

-Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills in detail oriented environment

-Strong communication skills

-Ability to document, implement and enforce related departmental policies and procedures

-Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills

-Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

 

Responsibilities:

Support, oversee and manage the performance and productivity of daily operations of the General Ledger Accounting team.

Manage consolidated month-end closing process.

Support financial reporting process by ensuring adherence/compliance to GAAP for application within the General Ledger closing process within established timelines.

Collaborate and assist Director of Accounting on special projects and other duties as assigned.

 

Credentials and Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or directly related field (AND) must have successfully passed the CPA exam (CPA designation does not have to be active) PLUS a Minimum of seven (7) years experience including the following:

     - Maintenance of consolidated general ledger using integrated financial systems

     - External financial closing experience in a multi-company structure

     - Analytical skills with the ability to summarize and present data in tight deadline driven environment

     - Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

**A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory and/or project team lead experience is required and is inclusive of the seven (7) years experience requirement.
