Provider Manager Role ScopePrimary responsibilities include middot Working clinically as part of the stroke service care delivery team at Hartford Hospitalmiddot Management oversight of Neurology Stroke APP teammiddot Oversees day to day operations of Neurology stroke APP team in collaboration with APP Clinical LeaderEducatormiddot Participation in oversight of adherence and maintenance of Comprehensive Stroke Center Accreditation in collaboration with Stroke Medical Director Stroke Coordinators and multidisciplinary care team including quality of care measures and reviewmiddot Collaboration with other departments caring for Neurologystroke patients incl ED Interventional Radiology ICU etcmiddot Leads collaborative initiatives to improve delivery of care reduce length of stay and improve patient experience in collaboration with physicians nursing residents and other care teamsmiddot Participation in System Wide Clinical Councils guiding changes in care delivery adoption of innovation and oversight of clinical qualitymiddot Works with AP Clinical Leader AP Educator to develop orientation and continuing education for AP teammiddot Leads recruitment and HiringOnboarding of new APPs within the Neurology departmentmiddot Oversees financial performance billing expense management of APP teammiddot Establishes performance expectations coaches develops and evaluates performance to enable AP employees to be successful in contributing to the achievement of individual and department objectivesmiddot Contributes to the development of meaningful goals and objectives for the department that align with the strategic direction of the organization by analyzing needs and developing recommendationsCommunicates the goals and objectives to the staff and monitors progress during the yearmiddot Oversees AP scheduling and resource utilization in collaboration with residencymiddot Oversees payroll activitiesThe Advanced Practice AP providers are part of a multidisciplinary team that plans and delivers care for all neurological disorders but not limited to general neurology stroke stroke mimics seizures and other complex disorders affecting blood supply to the brain and spinal cord including brain aneurysms carotid artery disease cervical artery dissection vascular malformations and other disorders of the nervous system under the direction of the attending physicians at Hartford HospitalResponsibilities include managing multiple patients with neurological disorders including but not limited to stroke and TIA ordering and interpretation of diagnostic results managing medications dictation of clinic notes patientfamily education clinical partnering with technicians nursing and therapy colleagues attending multidisciplinary meetingsAdvanced Practitioners Enjoymiddot A collaborative model of care with the neurology attending physician rehabilitation nurses and other members of the health care teammiddot Extensive onboarding allows the AP Provider to train throughout the entire continuum of neurology and stroke caremiddot Training is provided to the AP provider for skills such diagnosis and management of
