Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Managers provide leadership for cross functional engineering teams. They work with senior management to define technical road maps aligned with market directions and communicate across other Business Units to share applicable technology. Our Engineering Managers leverage TE global technology to increase competitive position and increased value to our customers. They identify relevant technology trends and opportunities, develop relationships and partnerships with key customers, industry leaders and core suppliers, define and manage IP strategy, assess talent and implement development plans to assure succession planning and organization capability.

 

Seeking an experienced Die Engineering Manager to join our Stamping Process Development Team:

 

Responsibilities include leading a team of Engineers in areas of New Business Quotations, Make vs Buy decisions, Contract Manufacturing Quoting - Selection - Sourcing and Internal Launch.

 

New Business Quotations:

Working with Product Development and Product Managers to provide timely budgetary quotations. Review product design and provide direction to Product Development in areas of Design for Manufacturability to ensure manufacturing success. Review criteria to make recommendation for internal production or contract manufacturing.

Contract Manufacturing:

Working with approved outside vendors to provide technical assistance for any quality or productivity problems that may arise.  Solicit quotations for work that may be placed at outside vendors. Provide technical direction for vendor selection to procurement team.

 

Responsibilities continued:

Internal Launch:

Lead team in Capital Equipment Request presentations to PAC team. Collaborates with Design, Engineering and Technical team to develop project timeline and clear scope with performance deliverables and resource needs. Communicates build timeline from Design Kick Off to Passing Capability Study to Project Management Team. Maintains internal scorecard: Project Phase Timing, Phase Costs and Process Performance defined in good pieces per hour.

 

Leading Team:

Participates in Strategy Development, leads team in Strategy Execution. Creates measurable goals, tracks performance and frequently communicates results with direct reports. Works with team to ensure all safety standards are maintained throughout development process. Helps define continuous improvement plan to reduce lead time, costs and increase process performance. Works with direct reports to build an individual development plan to enhance career development and match talent to business needs. What your background should look like: BS in Engineering or Equivalent Proven Track Record of Team Leadership and Development    

  7-10 Years of Experience:

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $126,300 – 189,500 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
