E&I Maintenance Supervisor – Solvay, NY

$109,875-$183,125

The above range represents the expected base salary for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to relevant skills and experience, credentials for the position, time in an applicable role, and geographic location.

The opportunity:

 

This role will provide direct supervision to hourly maintenance personnel to safely achieve maximum equipment uptime at the lowest cost. 

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

Administers and models safety in areas of responsiblity. Participates in and supports the safety programs for the maintenance department. Reviews safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance employees. Ensures compliance will all applicable OSHA and mill safetyManages contractors Sets expectations of the crews and provides direction using SMART goals (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, timely)Primarily responsible for direct supervisor to hourly mechanics in the assigned area of responsibilityMaintains the equipment in assigned area to achieve the maximum possible uptime at the lowest possible costUtilizes JD Edwards CMMS as a primary tool of the mill maintenance processShare in the responsibility of providing weekend and off-hour support for mill needs in a limited rotation   


What you need to succeed:

Bachelors or Associates degree in Electrical Engineering preferred5 years or more of experience in the heavy industrial or process industries, Pulp & Paper experience preferred5 years or more experience in a supervisory role including set ups Personal computer skillsExperience in the following areas:Power distribution systemsProcess instrumentation systemsDistributed control systems Programmable logic controllersCoordinated drive systemsVariable speed A.C. and D.C. drivesLow and medium voltage motor control centers

The salary range for this position is $109,875.00 - $183,125.00, depending on your role, level, and location.
