With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system. *_Position Summary:_* Responsible for managing, supervising and performing tasks related to Governmental Reimbursement issues for the healthcare system. Must have a working knowledge of the healthcare industry that includes Medicare Cost Reporting and State OHS reporting, reopenings/appeals, healthcare surveys and financial reporting. Additionally, this position collaborates with leadership in the reimbursement regulatory, operational, and financial impacts of proposed operational decisions *_Position Responsibilities:_* *Key Areas of Responsibility* 1. Supervises and assists in the preparation supporting workpapers and filing of annual Medicare Cost Reports ensuring strict compliance with all Medicare regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines. Acts as point person for cost report, wage index and other related audits, providing supporting documentation, reviewing adjustments and responding to audit findings in a timely and efficient manner 2. Supervises and assists in the preparation and submission of State OHS annual filings, including Facility Fee reporting 3. Supervises the completion of quarterly Third Party Reserve analysis calculation and ensuring that reserve balances are in compliance with policies and procedures 4. Serves as a resource in the areas of Medicare and Medicaid regulatory/settlement matters for the system, including Medicare DSH, Medicare IME/GME reimbursement and Transplant Services, if applicable. Providing guidance and support to hospital financial leadership 5. Works as an effective team member to complete project assignments 6. Performs a detailed review of the team’s work to ensure quality and thoroughness 7. Assists in training and mentoring analysts.
