Position Summary
The Manager of Patient Access Services is responsible for the operations, management, and performance of all SRHS hospital and outpatient diagnostic facilities for Patient Access Services departments, Centralized Referral Center (CRC) and Scheduling departments. This position is responsible for the implementation and adherence to all activities, policies and procedures pertaining to the above patient access, CRC, and scheduling functions. It is crucial that this position maintain effective working relationships with all areas of the health system to facilitate efficient patient flow and patient access functions. This position is responsible, in coordination with the Director of Patient Access Services, for the development, implementation, and measuring of strategic departmental goals and financial resources.

Education
High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory/leadership role in a Patient Access department, Centralized Referral department, financial or customer service role.
License/Registration/Certifications

Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and assigning the onboarding of new patient access associates Ensures appropriate scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll are completed accurately in the timekeeping system Performs responsibilities related to revenue, expenses, budget, positions, and FTEs to ensure financial accountability for cost center Maintains adherence to state and federal regulations and system policies regarding compliance, integrity, and ethical registration practices Maintains effective relationship and performance accountability for external and internal physicians, associates, and customers Responsible for managing the development, implementation and measuring of strategic departmental and system goals in relation to patient flow, prevention of denials and point of service collections Other responsibilities as assigned by Director of Patient Access Services
