Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The Purchasing Manager is accountable for managing and oversight of the purchasing processes for both basic supplies and unique items throughout the facility. The Purchasing Manager works in cooperation with the DPO (Supervisor), the CEO, the CFO, Accounts Payable, Transportation Department (to assist in deliveries) and all other Department Heads. The Purchasing Manager must be resourceful and flexible to meet the ever-changing needs of the hospital, and duties assigned by the Administrator. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for Purchasing functions that include but are not limited to: Purchasing Materials, management of the central supply and office supply budgets, and Staff Training around purchasing process such as using purchase orders, the par level system and requesting needed supplies. This individual must be self-motivated, well organized, able to multi-task, handle sensitive materials and maintain confidentiality. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements Experience Four or more years previous experience purchasing, MRO, central supply and inventories. Prior supervisory role and healthcare experience preferred. Qualifications Job Requirements High School Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field -preferred Four or more years previous experience purchasing, MRO, central supply and inventories. Prior supervisory role and healthcare experience preferred. Provides supervision to Purchasing Assistant Manager all purchase order the facility Tracks PAR levels for units
