Description Location: UC Health Memorial Hosp Central, US:CO: Colorado Springs Department: MHS Care Management FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $39.32 - $62.90 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary: Responsible for carrying out the day-to-day operations related to Medical Social Work, with a focus on efficient delivery of care and effective transitions between care settings and to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. Assist in tracking data, noting trends, and identifying improvement opportunities through staff observations, chart reviews and other means. Responsibilities: + Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. + Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll and student engagements and LCSW supervision of LCSW candidates. + Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies. + Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. Manages complaints and conflicts through to resolution. May provide direct patient care when necessary. + Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements: + Education: Master's degree in Social Work. + Certification: State licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). 2 years of related experience. We improve lives.
