Job Title: MicrobiologistJob Description We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Microbiologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in rapid microbial testing of finished products and raw materials, environmental monitoring, media preparation, and growth promotion testing. The role involves collection and analysis of cleaning validation samples, ATCC culture identification, and population verifications. The candidate will also be responsible for recording testing results, performing sample entry transactions, and compiling report summaries. Responsibilities + Conduct rapid microbial testing of finished products and raw materials using Biolumix / Soleris. + Implement and manage environmental monitoring programs for production and Microbiology areas. + Prepare media and conduct growth promotion testing. + Collect and analyze cleaning validation samples. + Identify and verify ATCC culture populations. + Record testing results in appropriate logbooks and lab automation programs. + Perform transactions for sample entry and results recording. + Conduct miscellaneous validation for basic microbiological methods where applicable. + Compile data obtained from testing and observations and complete report summaries. + Recognize out-of-specification (OOS) or out-of-trend results and assist in lab investigations under the direction of QC management. + Comply with all regulatory and in-house requirements, including safety, housekeeping, laboratory chemical waste, cGMP, GLP, and documentation. Essential Skills + Experience with microbial testing, including plating, endotoxin, and gram staining. + Aseptic technique proficiency. + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or Biology. + 3-5 years of experience in the pharma, nutraceutical, or CDMO/CMO industries. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Biolumix / Soleris is an additional advantage. + Ability to take initiative. + Previous employment duration of 2+ years at a single employer.
