Job Title: Microbiologist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Microbiologist to provide microbiology support and enable timely product release. The role involves performing microbiology QC analyses according to USP methods and ensuring the laboratory is maintained to the highest standards. Responsibilities + Perform microbiology QC analyses in accordance with USP methods and standard operating procedures. + Conduct Total Aerobic and Anaerobic Plate Count. + Execute Total Yeast and Mold Count. + Screen for pathogens. + Perform antimicrobial effectiveness testing and suitability testing. + Conduct Gram staining. + Prepare media and conduct growth promotional tests. + Maintain stock cultures. + Perform basic housekeeping activities for the microbiology laboratory. + Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and data recording for all laboratory QC test-related activities. + Maintain laboratory equipment and perform preventive maintenance activities. + Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety and attendance requirements. + Develop and update laboratory procedures as necessary. + Work independently with minimal supervision. + Develop laboratory personnel if required. + Purchase necessary supplies to ensure the laboratory is always ready to support the business. Essential Skills + Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Microbiology. + At least 1-5 years of work experience in a microbiology QC laboratory. + Familiarity with basic microbiology testing, including media preparation, plating, and culture sampling. + Experience with GMP, cGMP, GLP, GDP, and USP methodologies. + Excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written). + Ability to work as part of a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in the pharmaceutical, OTC, personal care, or food industry. + Knowledge of USP methods and criteria. Work Environment The position is based in a microbiology laboratory. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
