Job Title: Quality Control Specialist
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Specialist to join our team. This role involves daily microbiology testing, environmental monitoring, and detailed documentation. You will work under sterile conditions to ensure the highest quality of our products and compliance with USP standards. This position offers the opportunity to expand your skill set and be part of a growing team.

ResponsibilitiesPerform daily microbiology testing including spread plate, enrichments, sub-cultures, gram staining, coagulation tests, AI20E, fungi identification, and membrane filtration.Ensure quality control of micro supplies and growth promotion.Complete paperwork in SAP and by hand.Conduct environmental monitoring by swabbing production lines to test for microbial presence.Spend approximately 75% of the time in the lab and 25% on the production floor.Validate testing on all finished goods to ensure compliance with USP standards.Fact-check each sample against the neutralization scheme and certificate of analysis.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Microbiology or Biology (Master's degree preferred).Strong understanding and demonstrated experience with aseptic techniques.Proficiency in detailed documentation and reporting.Experience with gram staining, spread plate techniques, and membrane filtration.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in healthcare or veterinary fields with microbiology classes or related bio fields.Ability to revise SOPs and contribute to team growth.Comfortable working in a sterile lab setting and on the manufacturing floor.Work Environment

You will work primarily in a sterile lab setting under a sterile hood, with approximately 30% of your time spent on the manufacturing floor. You will need to be comfortable collaborating with line and chemical operators. The role includes 1st, 2nd, and weekend shifts, with small teams working together. Our lab is currently expanding, providing opportunities to grow and learn new skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00
