Job Description
A global bio-pharmaceutical manufacturer is seeking a QC Scientist to join their Microbiology Quality Project Team. Individuals on this team will be performing testing and remediation activities for pharmaceutical products, APIs, and excipients. Test methods will include bioburden, endotoxin, and microbial enumeration. The Scientist will also be responsible for providing feedback on test methods, validation protocols, and procedures to management, and work in tandem with other associated departments aligned to the project.
Responsibilities
+ Perform testing and remediation activities for pharmaceutical products, APIs, and excipients.
+ Conduct bioburden, endotoxin, and microbial enumeration tests.
+ Provide feedback on test methods, validation protocols, and procedures to management.
+ Collaborate with other associated departments aligned to the project.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with endotoxin testing (gel clot and kinetic on product) required
+ Minimum 2+ years of experience in a regulated pharmaceutical GMP lab.
+ Experience with method validation of endotoxin methods.
+ Bachelor's degree in biology, microbiology, or a life science field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of GMP and SOP.
+ Experience in microbiology laboratory environments.
+ Familiarity with bioburden testing, BET, LAL, and bacteria testing.
Work Environment
The role is primarily in a microbiology lab environment, with most time spent on the bench. The lab is located in a large sterile injectable manufacturing facility. Some time will also be spent in an office setting on a computer
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
