Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Microbiologist to join our team. You will be part of a company committed to saving lives and making life better through innovative well-being solutions. The role involves essential laboratory tasks, including cleaning glassware, stocking solutions, and testing for bacteria in products. You will assist in organism identification, culturing cells, and conducting various microbiological tests.
ResponsibilitiesClean and maintain laboratory glassware and equipment.Stock solutions and plates.Test for bacteria in finished goods, raw materials, and water.Assist in organism identification and investigations.Receive and log samples from vendors.Set up testing procedures and log data.Use lab instruments, including pipetting.Work independently and collaboratively with teammates.Perform bacterial culture work (Biosafety levels 1 and 2).Collect samples for testing.Assist in maintaining quality control and adhering to GMP standards.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Biology or Microbiology.Familiarity with biology and microbiology techniques and instrumentation.Basic laboratory proficiency.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and maintain quality under time pressure.Experience with aseptic techniques and autoclaving.Knowledge of microbial plating and quality control procedures.Work Environment
This position is set in an industrial, manufacturing environment, which is fast-paced and involves routine tasks such as collecting and processing samples, recording data, and reporting. The dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt, and a lab coat. The working hours are Sunday to Thursday from 7am to 3pm, with an initial training period of up to 8 weeks, Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $22.00/hr.
