Job Description
The Microbiologist Technician will support a food ingredient production facility specializing in powdered mixes that are primarily incorporated into dairy products, such as chocolate powders, strawberry powders, protein powders, creatine powders, vitamin mixes, and more. The role involves preparing broths, setting samples, running tests, documenting results, and reporting to upper management. Periodic environmental testing will be conducted, and the lab aims to achieve ISO certification to handle all testing in-house.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare broths for various tests including yeast, mold, and salmonella.
+ Set samples and run them through appropriate readers.
+ Document results and report findings to upper management.
+ Conduct periodic environmental testing.
+ Perform most tests in-house with occasional 3rd party testing.
+ Work towards achieving ISO certification for the lab.
+ Handle samples from other locations for ISO regulated tests once certification is achieved.
+ Conduct food pathogen testing.
+ Operate PCR and autoclave equipment.
+ Follow existing SOPs and implement new SOPs as needed.
+ Conduct crucial final tests on products before distribution.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00
