Job Description:

As a Junior Microbiologist, you will support our microbiology team in conducting experiments, analyzing microbial behavior, and ensuring laboratory compliance with safety standards. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or those with limited experience in microbiology to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and execution of microbiological experiments and assays.Isolate, culture, and identify microorganisms from various samples.Conduct routine analysis, including microbiological testing and quality control procedures.Maintain accurate records of experiments, observations, and results in compliance with laboratory protocols.Help with the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.Ensure cleanliness and organization of the laboratory workspace.Participate in data analysis and contribute to written reports and presentations.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in microbiology.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field.Familiarity with microbiological techniques and laboratory procedures is a plus, though not required.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis software.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with microbial culturing techniques or laboratory equipment is an advantage.An understanding of good laboratory practices (GLP) and safety regulations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
