Job Title:        Microbiology Lab Technician (Food)
Location:        Souderton, PA
Type:               6 month contract-hire 
Pay:                 $22 an hour starting

Responsibilities:  Validate and assure compliance with established food safety and quality objectives through daily monitoring of quality programs including environmental monitoring and sanitation Review and determine action plans for internal and external laboratory data results Proactively identify potential and emerging food safety issues and develop strategies to effectively investigate and respond Manage document control program and work with internal departments to make sure the proper documentation is being completed Assisting with food safety initiatives and quality compliance Assisting with updating and maintaining electronic document systems for the quality team Perform monthly internal GMP audits Observe facility and associates for GMP and food safety compliance Monitor and verify activities to ensure that all products coming in and out of the facility meet food safety standards Perform special project work as assigned by the Quality Director Requirements: BS in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry  6 months of Quality experience for food company in GMP preferred HACCP experience preferred Positive attitude and ability to work in fast paced environment
