Microbiology Lab TechnicianJob Description: We are seeking a dedicated Microbiology Lab Technician to join our fast-paced laboratory team. In this role, you will perform various laboratory support functions, ensuring the smooth operation of our microbiology lab. Responsibilities: + Stock shelves and manage chemical inventory. + Sweep floors and clean workspaces. + Handle pH balances and sample registration for testing orders, including weighing, diluting, and incubating samples, and testing for pathogens. + Operate autoclaves, clean glassware, and maintain a safe and orderly workstation. + Provide documentation support as needed. + Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and follow safety, laboratory, and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to avoid contamination and create a safe laboratory environment. + Communicate with and take direction from a small laboratory team to prioritize tasks. Skills & Qualifications: + BA/BS in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or a related degree (non-science degrees may be considered). + Completion of at least 2 microbiology/bio laboratory courses. + Positive attitude and willingness to learn in the lab, verified by references.
