Job Title: Microbiology Lab Technician
Responsibilities:
Comply with all EHSQS policies, procedures, and regulations relevant to the Site.Participate in the established Quality System to maintain ISO standards in the microbiology laboratory.Prepare a variety of media and reagents for microbiological analysis.Perform quality control evaluations on media and reagents received and prepared in-house.Prepare test samples using microbiological techniques according to established procedures.Log samples, set up tests, transfer tests, and analyze/report results.Daily, check and record temperature of all refrigerators, freezers, and water baths in the Microbiology department.Verify and record calibration of the top load balance used to weigh samples.Post information in LIMS, SAP, MDE, Electronic Logbook, and Excel spreadsheets.Verify and review data entries, maintain data & sample retention.Maintain and verify calibration of laboratory equipment, reporting deficiencies/malfunctions to the Quality Manager.Maintain a clean, well-stocked lab.Write and/or update Test Methods and/or SOPs as requested.Identify, record, and help correct nonconformities and potential nonconformities.Participate in ongoing and annual training, test method/SOP reviews, and proficiency testing as requested by the Quality Manager.Work Environment
Hours will be Sunday - Thursday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM. Training will be provided Monday - Friday for 1-4 weeks. The work setting is R&D, Lab, and Corporate, with no production or manufacturing.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00
