Microsoft Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshooting query performance issuesMonitor database up times, alerts, and performance to ensure efficient and reliable operation.Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data.Collaborate with other IT teams and business units to understand and address their database needs.Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on database performance and key initiatives.Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs.Participate in on call rotation.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Postgre, etc.) are advantageous.

Experience:

Minimum 7+ years of experience in database administration.Proven experience managing and maintaining database systems.Hands-on experience with database management tools and technologies.

Skills:

Effective communication verbal and written skillsEffective interpersonal skills.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Proficiency in database management tools and technologies.Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in database administration.

Key Competencies:

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.Strategic thinking and continuous improvement mindset.

Technical expertise in relevant database technologies.
