Complete Description:

The Product Specialist is a highly skilled specialist to provide technical assistance and support in the migration of the State House client community to Microsoft Exchange 2010 and Office 2010 environment as well as synchronize mobile devices.

 

The primary responsibility of a Product Specialist is to provide support and implement a plan to migrate the current Microsoft Exchange 2003 e-mail system to the new enterprise Exchange 2010.  In addition, the PS will also assist in the migration of environment from Office 2007 to Office 2010. 

 

The specialist will need to understand the State House technical infrastructure, mobile devices utilized within the environment and synchronize email and calendars on various models of devices. 

 

The Product Specialist requires significant to expert experience and skills in the Microsoft products, support, providing technical assistance and migration to new levels.  e specialist requires a strong background in mobile devices and synchronization of these devices with email and calendars.    In addition, strong knowledge and experience with printer in a upgraded environment is a plus. 

 

The specialist will be working within a technology help desk environment and must possess excellent communication and customer service skills . Product Specialist is responsible for collaborating with technical specialist within desktop, server and network specialist to  ensure and enhance the use of the product and effect migration to new versions of a product.

Years of Relevant Experience: 5 plus years

Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study.

Role Description: All roles specified plus the following:

Responsible for functioning as the Technical SME on an enterprise-wide system.

Responsible for assisting in migration of Microsoft Office products including email and hardware devices such as printers and synchronization of mobile devices. 

 

Provide direct technical expertise to client community.
