Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Microsoft PowerApps Developer to help support our DCMA SDLC IWMS contract. This is a full-time remote position.

As a Microsoft PowerApps Developer, you will support the design, deployment, and maintenance of PowerApps solutions in highly secure environments, particularly within government agencies, specifically DoD, and defense contractors. You will have a strong background in administering PowerApps environments, developing complex PowerApps with large datasets, developing unique solutions to work around system limitations, and providing technical support to ensure the reliability and performance of solutions.

HOW THE MICROSOFT POWERAPPS DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: 

Design, develop, test, and deploy business process automation solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform.

Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and define workflows, forms, and business rules.

Configure and customize PowerAutomate workflows, PowerApps forms, and integration points to meet business needs and requirements.

Develop and maintain PowerApp solutions and integrate components to enable seamless data exchange between systems.

Design and implement user interfaces, forms, and dashboards using the appropriate Power Platform tools.

Troubleshoot and debug issues in PowerApp workflows, processes, and applications, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.

Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, including training, documentation, and troubleshooting guidance.

Collaborate with IT teams to integrate PowerApp solutions with other systems and applications, ensuring data consistency and system interoperability.

Stay updated on Power Platform updates, patches, and new features, evaluating their potential impact on existing solutions and recommending upgrades or enhancements as needed.​

Develop and maintain PowerApp deployment packages, PowerShell scripts, and automation routines for streamlined deployment and administration including backup to GitHub / GitLabs.

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, upgrades, and patches, following best practices and change management processes.

Document PowerApp configurations, processes, and procedures, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity of operations.

Participate in project teams, working groups, or committees focused on business process automation, digital transformation, or technology innovation initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED - REQUIRED: 

Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen.

Security Clearance: Must currently maintain Tier III security background investigation in order to obtain IT Level II access prior to start date. Must be able to pass background check. Preference given to current CAC holders.

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Certification: Must have current and appropriate DoD approved IA baseline computing environment certification in accordance with IAW DoDM 8140.03, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, prior to start date.

Year's Experience: 2+ years of experience in developing PowerApp solutions, preferably in secure government or defense contractor settings.

Technical Skills:

Expert knowledge of PowerApps Canvas and Model driven technologies. 

Proficiency in Power Platform components, including PowerApps, Power FX, PowerAutomate, PowerBI, and Power Platform environments. Strong understanding of business process automation concepts, workflows, and best practices.

Proficiency in JSON, JavaScript, PowerFX

Experience with Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint, SQL Server, and .NET framework.

Certification in PowerApp development or administration preferred.

Experience integration with cloud services such as Microsoft 365 and Azure.

Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.​

Required Skills and Ability:

Proficiency in system monitoring and performance tuning, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues to ensure system reliability.

Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures for PowerApp solutions within multiple Power Platform environments.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable solutions that meet business requirements.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Continuous learning mindset, with a willingness to stay updated on PowerSuite platform updates, new features, and industry best practices.

Understanding of American Disabilities Act (ADA) Section 508 standards and requirements for accessibility and usability and knowledge of remediation requirements.​

Location: Fully (100%) Remote. CONUS ONLY.  Must travel to on-site location in order to obtain government furnished equipment.

The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
