Job Description Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Purview Consultant for a 3-month contract to assist in creating policies and rendering metadata from various applications, including Tableau and SAP. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance, metadata management, and experience with Microsoft Purview. Responsibilities:  Develop and implement data governance policies using Microsoft Purview.  Extract and render metadata from applications such as Tableau and SAP.  Provide training and support to team members on Purview functionalities.  Document processes and create detailed reports on metadata management activities.  Document processes and create detailed reports on metadata management activities:  Develop comprehensive documentation for all metadata management processes, including data lineage, data cataloging, and data classification.  Create step-by-step guides and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for metadata extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from applications like Tableau and SAP.  Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and reflects any changes in processes or tools used.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input and validate the accuracy of the documented processes.  Generate detailed reports on metadata management activities, highlighting key metrics such as data quality, completeness, and consistency.  Use visualization tools to present metadata insights and trends to stakeholders, ensuring reports are clear and actionable.  Include analysis of metadata usage patterns and recommendations for improving data governance practices.  Provide regular updates and summaries of metadata management activities to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.  Ensure reports comply with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. Continuous Improvement:  Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in metadata management.  Conduct regular reviews of documentation and reports to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the organization.  Stay informed about the latest developments in metadata management and data governance to incorporate new techniques and tools into the documentation and reporting processes.
