We are currently seeking a mid level .NET Software Developer to help shape the future of engineering applications. Our goal is to create tools that foster productivity, promote quality, and encourage collaboration among our engineers and support staff. This role will be vital in developing new tools and refining existing ones, helping us to automate processes, and delivering valuable business intelligence.
The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Working with end-users to identify system needs and requirementsMaintaining existing systems and developing new systems/functionalityAnalyzing emerging technologies to re-engineer existing processesParticipating in all stages of software development from defining requirements to testing and documentation
This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid schedule with the expectation of 3 days per week in our downtown Chicago office, and 2 days remote from home.
QualificationsThis position requires:
A BS degree in Computer Science or comparable degreeAt least 3 years of proven experience in software developmentProficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio (C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net)Experience with database development (Oracle, SQL Server, PL/SQL)Knowledge of source control (DevOps, GIT, Pipelines), REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, and Entity FrameworkStrong problem-solving and collaboration skillsExceptional verbal and written communication skillsValued but not required skills and experience:
Experience with Microsoft Office Automation and Microsoft Power PlatformsUnderstanding of security fundamentals (OAuth, OpenID)Understanding of Agile Development PracticesCAD Experience (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Blender, 3D, Lisp)Experience with cloud platforms/solutions (Azure/Oracle Cloud Services)Web development skills (React/Angular, HTML, JavaScript, JSON, XML, CSS, Responsive design)We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.
