Responsibilities

Due to continued growth, our West Coast Nuclear Services Group is seeking a Mid-Level Civil/Structural Engineer in our Fort Worth, TX office. 

Understand roles played by other disciplines on the project and possess the ability to coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplinesParticipate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractorsPrepare design studies, project scopes and engineering estimatesManage budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversightPrepare electrical equipment procurement and installation specifications and can evaluate technical bids and select equipmentDevise new approaches to technical problemsTravel and participate in field installation, checkout, and start-upDirect and oversee routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects and maintain quality standards of all assigned projects Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited universityMinimum of 3 years of power system design experience in the Nuclear IndustryDemonstrated proficiency in preparation of structural calculations is desiredKnowledge of discipline-specific computer analysis codes as well as standard office production softwareProficient in Word and ExcelFamiliar with the International Building code and building code designGood writing, presentation, and communication skillsAbility to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teamsFamiliar with concrete and steel design codes and with working stress and ultimate strength design approachesUranium enrichment facility experience, or equivalent nuclear facility experience, is strongly preferred.Familiarity with NRC regulatory requirements, particularly 10CFR70 is preferred.Ensures plant designs contain adequate safety features based on best nuclear industrial facility practices and lessons learned.The ability to lead and mentor an engineering team is highly desirable and preferred.Ability to periodically travel to New Mexico is required.Must be a US Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" security clearance. A current DOE clearance is preferred. Pay Range Starting from USD $0.00/Yr. Additional Information
