Responsibilities + Perform and lead junior staff in hydrologic and hydraulic design calculations for stormwater management systems and/or bridge hydraulic and floodplain studies. Tasks include hydraulic modeling, using various industry-standard software, preparing sketches/plans, technical reports, and similar technical work as required + Coordinate with the design team to achieve environmental compliance and assist in developing permit applications. + Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating design work internally and with other disciplines + Review plans, and details and prepare or review technical specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates + Support and coordinate with Highway, Structural, and Geotechnical Engineer design teams and perform other duties as assigned Requirements + BS in Civil Engineering + Must be a detailed-oriented, self-starter, comfortable working in a team environment and ability to work on multiple projects at once + Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills + Strong Math Skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel + Experience with any of HEC-RAS, HY-8, SRH-2D, HydroCAD, Storm and Sanitary Analysis, MicroStation (including InRoads), AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred) + Basic knowledge of GIS software (preferred) + Project experience involving hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design, floodplain studies, channel stability, hydraulic modeling, bridge scour, and environmental permitting + Familiarity with FHWA, USACE, and AASHTO design guidance and New Jersey Administrative Code (NJAC 7:8, 7:7 and 7:13) (preferred) + Licensed NJPE preferred, other jurisdictions of licensure are also acceptable Benefits We offer a professional work environment, a competitive salary, a benefits package, and 401(k).
