**Mid-Level Distribution Engineer** Location **Pensacola** Job Code **17497** \# of openings **1** Apply Now (https://phh.tbe.taleo.net/phh04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=POWERENGINEERS&cws=44&rid=17497) **Mid-Level Distribution Engineer** POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Distribution Engineer for the Power Delivery Distribution Department in Pensacola, FL. **Roles and Responsibilities** + The qualified candidate should be familiar with the design and operation of utility electrical systems which they can apply their knowledge for developing new designs + Ability to apply engineering calculations to various project challenges to develop the most complete and competent design + Perform quality reviews of project deliverables **Required Education/Experience** + A Bachelor of Science in Engineering, from an ABET accredited university, preferably with a power option + Five (5) + years of experience in the design and operation of overhead and underground distribution lines (4 kV through 35 kV) + Experienced with utility standards, joint facilities design, compatible units, and construction package development + Familiarity with distribution design software, both overhead and underground, the National Electric Safety Code, GO Codes, and utility best practices + Must have strong command of the English language and possess good written and oral communications skills + Must be able to successfully pass client's background screening process + Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record **Desired Education/Experience** + Professional Engineer (PE) License, or ability to obtain one in the state of Florida + A BSEE, BSEET, or BSME degree, from an ABET accredited university, preferably with a power option + Prior utility experience + Exposure to utility Design Systems (GIS); GE Smallworld, ArcFM, AUD, etc. + Exposure to work management programs such as Maximo, SAP, etc. + The ability to lead and direct a team of engineers, designers, and drafters + Travel should be expected At POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
