Responsibilities
Due to continued growth, Enercon's West Coast Nuclear Service Group is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to join the team onsite at Diablo Canyon in San Luis Obispo County, CA.
Understanding roles played by other disciplines on the project and possessing the ability to coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplines.Participating in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractors.Preparing design studies, project scopes and engineering estimates.Managing budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversight.Preparing electrical equipment procurement and installation specifications and can evaluate technical bids and select equipment.Devising new approaches to technical problems. Traveling and participating in field installation, checkout, and start-up.Directing and overseeing routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects and maintaining quality standards of all assigned projects.
Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering design. Experience supporting modifications of Nuclear Power Plants preferred.Experience in electrical codes, standards and criteria for power systems.Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of electrical calculations is desired.Makes recommendations based on knowledge and experience.Proficient in Microsoft Suite.Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills.Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.Ability to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks. Position may involve a client site assignment lasting several months at a time. Pay Range USD $78,400.00 - USD $113,000.00 /Yr. Additional Information
