Summary:

We are continually seeking talented individuals for our mid-level Environmental Scientist and Air Quality positions, working within 50 miles of one of our local offices.
Typical duties for a mid-level position include but aren’t limited to, preparing technical reports, coordination and oversight of field sampling and field procedures, environmental investigations, remediation design, data analysis, and assistance in staff development in technical areas.
Your Role:
This position will have field and non-field related responsibilities. Field work and travel may include occasional nights and weekends. Assist Senior and Principal Scientists with writing proposals, obtaining bids, financial tracking, invoicing, draft cost estimates, and project budgets (as needed). Ability to interface with clients, subcontractors, project groups, and internal customers. Perform statical analysis and provide data-based site recommendations. Support project teams with data collection, evaluation, interpretation, and assessment. Support project teams with presentation development and provide review support for ongoing presentation materials for tasks such as client meetings, marketing projects, and knowledge-sharing events. Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members. Work with a multi-disciplinary team of technical resources. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
BS in Environmental Science, Air Quality, or related field required. Advanced degrees preferred but not required. 5 – 8+ years of technical experience in environmental services / consulting, with a history of increasing responsibility. Previous field experience required, including supervision of investigations, sampling activities, and subcontractor oversight. Good understanding of environmental services including investigation and remedial actions, environmental assessments, and sampling methods. Ability to take thorough notes and preparation of data reports. Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts and principles. Proficiency with MS Office Suite. Experience with AutoCAD or ArcGIS is desirable. OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification. OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training preferred. Ability to walk rugged terrain and lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50lbs. Ability to travel and perform field work (50% or more of field work required). A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required. Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
Target salary range: $70,000 to $90,000. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
