Mid Level Financial Analyst
Amentum is seeking a talented and experienced Mid Level Financial Management Analyst to support the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) Financial Management Branch. The Business and Financial Analyst will be responsible for support for a branch, office, organization, or department. Also responsible for providing advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets. Additional requirements include measuring organizational performance; assess the effects of various programs and policies on the budget. ****Contingent on Contract Award Expected February 2025**** **Responsibilities:** + Examine budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives. + May employ cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program tradeoffs, and explore alternative funding methods. + Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organization's spending. + Develop guidelines and policies governing the formulation and maintenance of budgets. + May conduct training sessions for company or government agency personnel regarding new budget procedures. + Coordinate financial activities across various stakeholders. + Manage finances across multiple funding types. + Track budgets, costs, and variances. + Produce executive summaries. + Conduct financial reporting and analyses on financial issues and customer requirements. + Develop and propose courses of actions (COAs) and recommendations for financial issues. Interpret and apply financial management principles. + Apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations and organizational strategic goals. + Enter financial data into government approved systems for obligation and procurement (such as Navy Enterprise Resource Planning or Standard Procurement System, or any follow-on systems). + Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations for senior management. **About Amentum:** Amentum is a global leader in designing, engineering, and modernizing critical systems and programs of national importance across defense, security, intelligence, energy, and the environment. Minimum Requirements + Bachelor's degree in business or technical field. + 4-8 years of experience in financial management and operations analysis. + Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making. + Strong understanding of the PPBE process. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. + Experience in U.S. Navy programs or operation + Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance. HIRING SALARY RANGE: $50,000 - $90,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
