Mid-Level Functional Analyst

The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Mid-Level Functional Analyst to work in our Mechanicsburg, PA office.  This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the DPAS mission.  DPAS is the Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) for over 50 DoD agencies and Military Services. Leidos supports the DPAS program in software development, software sustainment, training, system implementation, data conversion, information assurance, automatic identification technology (AIT) support, account management, help desk, subject matter expert and PM support.  

We are looking for a candidate, who can provide functional and technical support of a logistics management system. Candidates should have experience collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams to analyze, document, and improve processes, ensuring that business needs are effectively met through technical solutions. The successful candidate will take a proactive role in research, functional design, and system improvements, and will be capable of completing projects with increasing complexity. The role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to deliver impactful solutions that drive business success.

Primary Responsibilities:

Take initiative to develop a thorough understanding of business processes, best practices, and available supporting technology & documentation.Elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements.Drive the development and implementation of significant improvements to existing processes.Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to document the key business goals and objectives for a new or existing process.Create detailed specifications, user stories, process flows, and use cases.Participate in the Scrum and Agile software development process to facilitate progress, answer any questions and provide more detailed requirements as necessary.Collaborate with development teams to produce any required documentation or communications that may be necessary in support of the project including project status, project roadmap, release plan, etc.Create and execute test plans to validate that solutions meet requirements and acceptance criteria. Facilitate user acceptance testing and gather feedback for refinements.Assist the Help Desk with problem and incident management.Collaborate with the training team to support end user training, as necessary.

Security Clearance Requirement:

US Citizen; Currently possessing or ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and 2+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience, training, and/or certifications may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.  Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.Previous experience in a business systems analyst role or similar.Experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements.Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.Proficient with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R.Experience with business intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.Familiarity with database management systems.Good verbal and written communication abilities.Experience with business process modeling tools (BPMN, UML, etc.).Understanding of Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in software development or IT, with a solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)Solid understanding of QA principles, testing methodologies, and tools with practical experience in designing test cases, executing tests, and managing defect tracking.

Pay Range:Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
