Summary:
Tetra Tech is currently seeking a Mid-Level Geologist / Hydrogeologist in our Billings, MT office. A successful candidate will apply a strong educational background and experience to develop cost-effective solutions for a variety of projects including but not limited to, water resources, remediation, wetland and ecological, mining, waste management, and more. Typical duties include but aren’t limited to, field investigations, assessments, data collection, system operation and maintenance, groundwater remediation design and implementation, and more.
Your Role:
Much of the work will be in the field and may require occasional night and weekend travel/work. Field work planning and preparation. Field investigations, sampling, environmental assessments, and site inspections. Collection and proper documentation of field samples and data. Prepare technical reports summarizing field and laboratory findings, data analysis, and interpretation of data. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, environmental scientists, project managers, etc. to address challenges and deliver integrated solutions. Environmental compliance support. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field required. 3 – 8 years of experience in environmental services / consulting. A good understanding of environmental services including investigation and remedial actions, environmental assessments, and sampling is preferred. Ability to take thorough notes and preparation of data reports. Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts and principles. Familiarity with MS Office Suite. Familiarity with CAD or GIS is desirable. Familiarity working with MODFLOW, MODPATH, and MT3D is a plus. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50lbs. Ability to travel and perform field work (50%-75% or more of field work required). A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required. Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.Target salary range: $50,000 to $70,000.
