ENERCON's West Coast Nuclear Services Group is seeking a Mid-Level I&C Engineer to join the team based onsite at Arizona Public Services, Palo Verde Nuclear plant. Responsibilities Perform a variety of complex digital I&C design engineering activitiesPrepare Engineering Change Packages (ECP) to replace/upgrade obsolete analog-based I&C systems with modern computer-based I&C systems and componentsPerform engineering calculations and prepare design studies, project scopes, and engineering estimatesPerform review of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) digital platform hardware and software technical documentation for specified applications Provide estimates to Project Management to support budget and schedule developmentParticipate in project meetings, working interactively with colleagues and clients to develop strong relationshipsPlan and implement the timely execution of assigned engineering activitiesProficiency in the application and use of the regulatory requirements, industry codes, and standards that are unique to digital I&C systemsPerform site walkdowns as needed to identify design solutions Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similarMinimum of 3 years of I&C engineering experienceExperience supporting modifications of Nuclear Power Plants preferredKnowledge of digital hardware and software components commonly used in digital I&C system platformsExperience in the design, installation, and testing of large scale (complete systems) digital control and computer monitoring system upgrades at power plantsTypes of upgrades include replacement of Turbine/Generator Control Systems with DCS platforms, process computer, and cybersecurity systemsDirect involvement in the entire digital upgrade life cycle including feasibility studies, procurement specifications, design change packages, FAT/SAT test procedure development, installation, and testingWorking knowledge of the application of current regulatory and industry digital upgrade standardsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to be an individual contributor and work effectively in a team environmentStrong analytical skills and problem identification/resolutionMust be able to access client sites to conduct walkdowns#LI-MB1
