The Java Software Engineer is responsible for supporting the technological/functional aspects of the Legal Hub application. The Software Engineer is also responsible for working with the Technical Application Lead and project team to resolve day to day issues and provide support for customers.
 
iManage or ECM application experience is preferred. Self-motivated and an enthusiasm to learn is a must.
 
Responsibilities include:Develop and maintain expertise within our client for an assigned set of applications and/or infrastructure technologies, methodologies, analytical methods and/or processes ensuring that they operate to and meet or exceed the service level standards (SLAs)Support enterprise infrastructure solutions and business application systems according to the our client's technology policies and standards that meet the processing and information needs of clients (internal and/or external) and implement them on–time and on-budgetCollaborate with the ADM & BRM teams to research third party products and solutions, and bring innovative, value-enriching technology-based solutions to our clientSupport the IT Audit requirements and the business continuity and disaster recovery standards and proceduresUnderstand and ensure compliance with various Information Security, Compliance, Legal and/or regulatory requirements as applicableSupport the Data Integrity, Process, Technology, Audit & Security architecture requirements of the company and ensure that software is developed according to the software development standards established by our client's IT organization.Understand and leverage the use of SPE enterprise standards, technologies and platforms such as content management, identity management, integration, reporting and othersUnderstand and leverage enterprise data repositories, business process re-use and/or master data within the company.Key outputs include:Document technical requirements where requiredHigh- and low-level design documents and technical specifications for development and enhancement work effortsAssist in Problem Management & Root cause analysesContribution of technical documentation to GSD knowledge databaseContribution of technical documentation to IT knowledge databaseCore Responsibilities
65% 1.  Develop and assist Application Lead and project team in technology solutions. Support for Problem resolution on multiple technical platform architectures (see skill set section below), Web Technologies, IT Architecture (Process and information, applications, technology architectures), application development methodologies, and/or application development tools/techniques/practices
 10% 2.  Contribute to the development of best practices and methodology in the area of application development.
 15% 3. Support our client's enterprise technology architecture strategies, vision and competency and participate as an architecture thought leader within the IT organization.
 10%   4.  Participate in various teams to evaluate, select, and design application development technologies. Perform competitive analysis and gap analysis.
