Job Title: Software Engineer I-II
Job Description

The Software Engineer I-II role involves planning, designing, developing, and testing high-quality, innovative software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products. This position primarily focuses on backend development but may also include full-stack development. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Java 17, be able to develop code, and write syntax within the platform.

ResponsibilitiesContribute to the full software development life cycleWrite maintainable, extensible, and tested code while complying with coding standardsProduce specifications and determine operational feasibilityContinuously integrate and deliver software components into a fully functional software systemFacilitate end-to-end user testing with customersTroubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systemsEssential Skills4+ years of experience in software developmentExperience in building streaming and batch data pipelines using Big Data technologies such as Spark, Flink, and Kinesis on large-scale unstructured data setsAWS experience in developing applications for cloud platforms such as EC2, S3, EKS, and LambdaKubernetes experience for developing, deploying, and orchestrating micro-servicesExperience developing applications within Docker containersExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormationExpertise in multiple languages such as Java, Kotlin, or ScalaProficiency in common Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, or similar, and any of the Java Persistence API and JDBC implementationsUnderstanding of concepts regarding security, privacy, and performanceAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to train junior members in mastered domain knowledgeLargely autonomous, working on a day-to-day basis without supervisionUnderstanding of business systems, products, and/or technologies and the needs of the customerStrong growth mindset and the ability to positively contribute to team and organizational cultureWork Environment

This is a hybrid role requiring 1-2 days per week on-site. The company offers free lunch every day and is known for its long-term projects, stable backlog, and innovative culture.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $55.00
