Mid-Level Provider .55 FTE Weekend Package

SCHEDULE

FTE: .55

Friday 9am to 7:30pm
Saturday 9am to 5pm
Sunday 9am to 5pm
Work a minimum of 3 out of every 4 weekends

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Plans and directs care in the clinic and nursing home setting independently and in collaboration with Physicians and other health care professionals, providing primary health care to individuals and families that emphasize health promotion and disease intervention.  This includes, but is not limited to, comprehensive assessment, ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing pharmacologic agents and treatments and non-pharmacologic therapies, and performing procedures within the scope of expertise and organizational protocols.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, and Training

Iowa Board of Nursing Certification as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the Specialty of Certified Nurse Practitioner required. Must possess current Iowa Registered Nurse License.  Must possess a current DEA registration and State of Iowa Controlled Substances Act registration. Must possess Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree plus three years of directly related clinical experience. Must possess Master’s Degree if practicing in an outreach clinic or off-site satellite location. Previous experience as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in a clinical and/or nursing home setting preferred. Must possess the ability to function independently under general guidance of the supervising Physician and the policies and procedures of the institution. Must possess and demonstrate critical thinking skills. Must maintain emotional stability in emergency situations. Ability to learn and navigate computer systems including the online training modules, the employee timesheet and the performance appraisal system. Job specific systems are also required. Must possess valid certifications as determined by hospital privilege delineation. Must possess valid Mandatory Reporter training for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse. Must be able to read, speak, and write fluent English.

Physical Requirements

Sitting – Approximately 25% of shift. Standing – Approximately 50% of shift. Walking – Approximately 25% of shift. Lifting – Approximately 25 pounds. Twisting – Infrequent. Bending – Infrequent. Squat/Kneel – Not a requirement.
