Mid-Level SIGINT Systems Engineer
KBR is seeking a Mid-Level SIGINT Systems Engineer to be part of our team supporting our customer in Chantilly, VA that delivers mission-critical capabilities directly supporting intelligence-gathering missions from overhead systems.
The SIGINT Systems Engineer provides support to the Government in defining new mission requirements, performing classic Systems Engineering sub-tasks such as Requirements, Configuration Management, Integration, Verification, Validation and Test (IVV&T), Risk and Readiness. This position envisions representing the Government team and working with development contractors in performing all aspects of agile software development, CI/CD pipelines and deployment of mission software to support operations. The Enterprise embraces innovation and agile software development in a relentless effort to meet intelligence needs and shorten the timelines to provide actionable critical information to US Government decision-makers. This position advises the US Government in support of critical missions in SIGINT, COMINT, FISINT, and ELINT.
This position is contingent upon contract award
Specific responsibilities may include:
+ Assist with the development and coordination of CONOPS of SIGINT mission planning and scheduling systems
+ Translate requirements into Epics/Features based on emerging customer needs
+ Possess an understanding of system-to-system interfaces and function as an integrator
+ Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures
+ Assist in the monitoring of system and segment schedules, recognizing dependencies
+ Identify risks and new opportunities
+ Facilitate readiness, release planning events, and demonstrations in support of system and acquisition-level sprints and increments
+ Participate in regular interactions with other system engineers and government partners
+ Review Request for Changes (RFCs) and identify impacts, in addition author RFCs for the customer
+ Support Agile and DevOps automated test and verification
+ Assist with the integration of new systems and initiatives in support of expanded SIGINT mission planning and scheduling capabilities, working directly with our developers and users in operations
+ Assist decision support, engineering process consultation, technical meeting coordination and development of recommendations
+ Participate in studies looking at the future generation of SIGINT capabilities spanning the next decade
+ Possess familiarity with overall SIGINT ground customer, technical familiarity with mission control and/or processing of one or more SIGINT systems
+ Provide expert assistance to the identification of user needs and the development of potential solutions
Minimum qualifications:
+ Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
+ Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field (Master’s preferred)
+ 5+ years of experience in SIGINT systems engineering or related fields
+ Knowledge of SIGINT remote sensing systems and general space and ground architectures
+ Experience with system-to-system interfaces and integration
+ Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies
+ Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and development teams
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Good communication skills
