KBR is seeking a Mid-Level SIGINT Systems Engineer to be part of our team supporting our customer in Chantilly, VA that delivers mission-critical capabilities directly supporting intelligence-gathering missions from overhead systems.  We command spacecraft and process the resulting collected data into useful information distributed to US Government Intelligence Community and Military users.

The SIGINT Systems Engineer serves as an advisor to support the Government in defining new mission requirements, performing classic Systems Engineering sub-tasks such as Requirements, Configuration Management, Integration, Verification, Validation and Test (IVV&T), Risk and Readiness.  This position envisions representing the Government team and working with development contractors in performing all aspects of agile software development, CI/CD pipelines and deployment of mission software to operations. The Ground Enterprise embraces innovation and agile software development in a relentless effort to meet intelligence needs and shorten the timelines to provide actionable critical information to US Government decision-makers.  This is a position of trust advising the US Government and supporting critical missions in SIGINT, COMINT, FISINT, and ELINT. 

Specific responsibilities may include:

Define SIGINT requirementsDevelop and coordinate CONOPS of SIGINT mission planning and scheduling systemsWrite and translate requirements into Epics/Features based on emerging customer needsUnderstand system-to-system interfaces and function as an IntegratorAssess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measuresMonitor system and segment schedules, recognize dependencies, Identify risks and opportunitiesFacilitate readiness, release planning events, and demonstrations in support of system and acquisition-level sprints and incrementsReview Request for Changes (RFCs) and identify impacts, in addition author RFCs for the customerSupport Agile and DevOps automated test and verificationIntegrate new systems and initiatives in support of expanded SIGINT mission planning and scheduling capabilities, work directly with our developers and users in operations.Participate in studies looking at the future generation of SIGINT capabilities spanning the next decade.Familiarity with overall SIGINT ground customer, technical familiarity with mission control and/or processing of one or more SIGINT systems.Experience identifying user needs and gaps, identifying potential solutions, and assessing/analyzing alternatives

Minimum qualifications:

Active TS/SCI with CI PolygraphBachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred)5+ years of experience in SIGINT systems engineeringStrong knowledge of SIGINT mission planning and scheduling systemsExperience with system-to-system interfaces and integrationExperience with Agile and DevOps methodologiesAbility to work collaboratively with stakeholders and development teamsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills
