Job Title: Mid Level Structural Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a Mid Level Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will conduct structural analysis using software tools and hand calculations, design structural elements such as beams, columns, foundations, and connections of moderate complexity, and ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and industry standards. You will also assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets, coordinate with other engineering disciplines, architects, and construction teams, and prepare and present technical reports and documentation.

ResponsibilitiesConduct structural analysis using software tools and hand calculations.Design structural elements such as beams, columns, foundations, and connections of moderate complexity.Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and industry standards.Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, architects, construction teams, and project stakeholders.Assist a team leader in structural inspections and assessments.Prepare and present technical reports and documentation.Ensure the quality of structural engineering deliverables.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in structural engineering, especially in structural steel.Experience in designing or being part of the design team for Steel Repair of Culvert design.Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation.High level of detailing and designing with CAD.Basic knowledge of horizontal construction, AREMA, and Bridge Rating Experience like LRFD (Load and Resistance Factor Design).Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (MS preferred).Experience with bridge design software such as CSiBridge, LARS Bridge, Midas Civil, STAAD Pro, Civil WorkSuite, MDX Software, OpenBridge Designer.Ability and desire to take on more roles and responsibilities, including shadowing Senior Engineers through client meetings.Work Environment

This position is based out of the Edison, NJ office. The role offers a hybrid work schedule with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home, typically on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the office. You will work in a highly collaborative Structural Team alongside four other teams (Environmental, Civil, Survey, and Transportation teams). The company provides a laptop for work and reimburses travel to the city/mileage. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
