Mid-Level Wastewater Collection Engineer
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing exciting success and sustainable growth. As a result, we have a full-time position available for a mid-level or higher wastewater collection system engineer to join our team. Responsibilities include assisting with wastewater and stormwater collection system evaluation, planning, and design projects to solve municipal collection system problems related to combined and sanitary sewer overflows, flooding, collection system aging, and water quality. Occasional travel will be required. Remote work may be considered. The successful candidate must have all of the following: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil, environmental or related engineering degree from an accredited four-year college or university At least three years of relevant work experience, including collection system analysis or design experience The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: EIT certification with ability to obtain professional registration as a PE or a PE Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling program experience such as SWMM (PCSWMM, XPSWMM, InfoSWMM, etc.) or MIKE URBAN Civil 3D expertise with a focus on sewer plan and profile development Combined sewer overflow (CSO) long-term control plan (LTCP), CSO reduction planning, and sewer flow evaluation experience Green infrastructure planning and design experience Infiltration and inflow study experience Sewer system rehabilitation experience Project management, mentoring, project scoping, proposal writing, and client management experience The ability to learn quickly and stay organized Effectively coordinate with a larger project team, self-perform work, and be receptive to feedback and mentoring If you have strong communication and organizational skills, are self-motivated, and can work well both independently and as part of a team, complete the online application process for this job posting at www.meadhunt.com/careers.
