The Integrated Warfare Systems Group (IWSG) comprises more than 80 staff that provide program and project management, systems and digital engineering, software, test & evaluation, logistics, cybersecurity, international/Foreign Military Sales, strategic communications, and IT support to more than 40 programs and projects in the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems, Above Water Sensors Directorate (PEO IWS 2.0) and customers in Naval Surface Warfare Dahlgren Division’s Integrated Combat System department, Office of Naval Research, and the Navy’s Team SUBS office. #MC
ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Journeyman Systems Engineer to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division's (NSWCDD) Electromagnetic and Sensor Department.
You will contribute to Nulka Decoy (and similar programs) design and engineering support related to system level development, including key systems engineering and test & evaluation decisions, technical and programmatic briefings, issue papers, summaries, and other program and acquisition documentation. You will contribute to analyses, evaluations, and recommendations on technical, program, and milestone tasks; provide technical support to Hardware, Software, Ship, and Combat Systems Working Groups; update and implement risk management and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) plans; and provide liaison support to a variety of stakeholder organizations.
You must have the ability to provide detailed and thorough engineering analysis and briefings and have the ability to work from NSWC Dahlgren at least 3 days per week. The first several weeks will require 4-5 days in the office to accelerate onboarding processes. No travel is expected in this position.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
At least 5-9 years of experience in systems engineering applied to program and system level developmentActive DoD Secret Clearance
Bachelor or higher degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related technical degree
Demonstrated experience in most or all of the following areas:
Programmatic support in an acquisition Program Office for Navy or other Armed Services programs and/or systems.Combat system integration and system architecture.Electronic Warfare Systems and other Shipboard systems.Desired Qualifications:
